European
Inventor Award
In 2014 the European Patent Office and VOK DAMS continue their well-established teamwork
For the eighth year running, the European Patent Office and the agency for events and live-marketing VOK DAMS have continued their cooperative collaboration. Their most recent endeavor was the European Inventor Award 2014 in Berlin. Successfully, they had developed the tried and tested concept further. That this worked out was also shown in the doubling of the online voting figures compared to last year.
This year, the public voted “their” inventor, Masahiro Hara winner of the Popular Prize with almost 30% of the more than 20,000 votes cast online.
The award is regarded as Europe’s “Oscar for technology and innovation”. It acknowledges outstanding inventors, who contribute to social, technological and economic development.
More than 500 guests from industry, academia, culture and politics took part in the award ceremony in the former imperial telegraph office, amongst them the federal minister of justice and consumer protection, Heiko Maas.
Just like with other live campaigns, the live experience was in the foreground of this project, and at the same time generated content for the most important communication channels, which in turn created a high media value.
